This week has been a little crazy. The beginning of the week began with the hospital announcing that their maternity ward would be closing and all births would be transferred up to Lafayette to the new St. Elizabeth hospital. Then I started wondering about our doctor and what he would do, but after a few days and a reassuring phone call we found out that he would remain our doctor through the rest of our pregnancy. Hopefully, he will also be doing the delivery.
Donovan is now coming down with something. I am leaning towards the cold that Caleb and I have both had. He had a fever last night and a small one this morning along with quite the cough. Lord willing, with rest and some good nursing, he will be back to normal before long! I do hope it doesn't get any worse. Nothing like being sick on the weekend and the inability to do anything about it til Monday. I have come to the realization that we are 20 weeks pregnant which means I only have 20 weeks left to get everything done that I want to get done. That's not much time! Especially some of the bigger things that I really can't be hugely pregnant for, so I have been getting busy around the house trying to get some things done. I have two dressers to paint, a room to clear out and turn into a nursery, a basement to organize and a laundry room down there to turn into something that I actually enjoy going down to.
Caleb has been working and will work tomorrow so maybe I can get some more stuff done. We got our taxes filed and lots of other paperwork done so now I can devote my time to other stuff. If anyone has any fun ideas on how to turn a basement room that is not finished into a neat looking laundry room for CHEAP, let me know! I would love some feedback and ideas!
Follow our family as we live with the purpose of serving Christ with our whole hearts.

Wow! How long has it been?! There are quite a few things that are new that have occured since my last post.
First and foremost, however, is that we are expecting our third child! Can you believe it? Donovan a big brother! WOW! Our due date is 3 days before Donovan's 2nd birthday so that should be exciting. I must say, I really enjoy being pregnant. It makes me happy. Just the idea of having a baby growing inside of me is a wonderful thought.
We are still living in Waynetown although have been looking for another house to buy for quite some time. We are just ready to be out of Waynetown, hopefully out in the country but a bit closer to Crawfordsville too. Just yesterday we got a "new-to-us" kitchen table, which is a blessing because our other was on its last leg....literally.
Caleb is still working at Miller's, and is now taking classes on Tuesday's and Thursday's. I love seeing how excited he gets when he learns new stuff and has a new dream of things he could do.
Donovan, at 18-months, is refusing to walk. Oh, he knows how for sure, but he is content to either crawl, sit or be carried. Little does he know in about 2 weeks he will start walking whether he likes it or not! He is HEAVY! He is saying lots of words and has just started Bible class at Southside this year. He really enjoys going. I elected to be the teacher for Sunday mornings and it is such a joy to see him learning so much. He loves to sing and hold his Bible.
I am doing well. Handling the pregnancy well and keeping up with everything that is going on. I really enjoy the second trimester...even though it seems like the due date will never get here, it is fun because I am still able to be quite active with Donovan, but still knowing that I am pregnant. We are going to attempt not to find out the sex of this baby, but it is stressing me out because I have to come up with a boy and a girl name. If I were to say, I would tell you this baby is a boy. It is carrying a lot like Donovan. Although I do secretly wish for a little girl, I will be content with whichever God blesses us with. There are many things that I want to do before this baby comes. I want to clean out the room that we will move D to, I would really like to move actually, I want to spit shine the entire house, I want to paint the hallway, I want to paint some furniture. So many goals, so little of me!
This year I have made a few goals for myself. One is to cut down on soda. I just can't give up all my caffeine so I thought cutting down on soda and enjoying my coffee. I have set a goal to be more diligent in my Bible reading (although I say that every year, this year I really mean it!) and my prayer life. I have come to find that prayer is such a major part of life and I cannot live without it. I have also said that I want to step into my role as wife/mother more productively. I don't have internet at my house so I have to do things the old fashioned way, but I want to learn simple things to do to save us money. I really want to learn how to sew this year. I want to adapt Caleb and I's food to be more healthy and natural. I want to take time to enjoy Donovan, take pictures, teach him, love him and mold him into being an obedient, God-fearing little man. It seems like a lot, but I have a whole year to work on it!
