Wow, how long has it been?

It has been quite some time since I have blogged. Lack of internet and extremely busy schedule makes that happen. But, here I sit at 5:50 in the morning, thankful and happy as can be. Why you ask? Probably because I am sitting here next to my new little baby boy. Brenden Cole was born yesterday at 11:50am. He weighed in at 7 pounds and 1 ounce, measured 20 inches long and he is the most beautiful little boy. He actually looks a lot like Donovan. It is really neat to see how much he looks like him. The other neat thing is that we are nursing and I love it. It is going well, Brenden has taken to it very smoothly and Lord willing, we will continue with it! It certainly helps to have a support system and to have read about it before going in to it and figuring out how it works. The birthing process went super smooth yesterday. We came in at 7 to be induced, but didn't get anything going til the doc got here at 8:30. They broke my water at once because they said I was at 4, and started the pitocin shortly after that. By 9:30 or10:00 I was having contractions ever 2 minutes and begging for an epidural...yeah, I am a weany! I don't remember what time I got it, but by11:35 I started pushing and little Brenden arrived at 11:50! It was funny because summer "officially" started at 1:06 yesterday afternoon, so I was wondering whether B would want to be born in the spring or summer, and apparently it was spring!

Caleb was blessed to get the rest of the week off of work, so he is laying on the couch across the room snoring. I sure enjoy having him here with me. He is such a good daddy and helped so much yesterday. By last night I was exhausted, between giving birth and visiting with people, it certainly wears a person out! I got some good sleep in between nursing and such last night, so I should be good to go today. I am thankful to have him here with me again today to help facilitate things.

I will blog again before we leave the hospital and hopefully add a couple of pictures, as for right now, I am going to go enjoy some cuddle time with my new bundle of joy.
